1. Head

The main horizontal member which forms the top of the patio door frame.

2. Handle-Activated Multi-Point Locking System

Milgard patio doors come standard with a handle-activated multi-point lock system – for extra security and peace of mind.

3. Insulated Glass

A combination of two or more panes of glass with a hermetically sealed air space between them. Milgard patio doors come standard with SunCoat Low-E® coating for added energy efficiency and all around comfort, all year long. Optional argon gas may be used between panes, further improving thermal performance and energy savings.

4. Lock Stile

The patio door vertical structural member which closes against the jamb of the surrounding frame; on the opposite side from the hinges.

5. Hardware

Elegant finish hardware tested to standards in excess of California's forced-entry codes, which are the toughest in the nation. Milgard French patio doors feature aluminum reinforced lock/latch region for additional strength and security.

6. Weather Stripping

Milgard offers four types of weather stripping designed specifically for different gap types to ensure the most efficient, weather-tight seals for your patio doors.

7. Sill

8. Top Rail

9. Hinge

10. Hinge Stile

11. Jamb
